Plugging our ears
The Vagina Ideologue: Criticism is growing against conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh for his verbal attack of a college student as a “slut” and “prostitute” because she sought to testify before Congress about birth control coverage. Limbaugh even suggested that he wanted her to post sex tapes online, “so we can all watch.”
Limbaugh, who suffered total deafness until receiving a cochlear implant in 2005, has finally succeeded in making most of American wish it shared his malady.
Beg for it: Americans spent nearly $51 billion on their pets last year. About 65 percent of that went to food and veterinary care, while grooming, boarding and pet-sitting counted for another 13 percent.
That left: 3 percent for sweaters and hats for small dogs unable to voice their disapproval; 4 percent for cat nip addiction treatment; and 15 percent for camera equipment used in uploading videos of dogs eating peanut butter and sleeping cats falling off the backs of couches.
Nice place to visit: A gray wolf that wandered into California, making it the first wolf recorded in The Golden State since the 1920s, was tracked and found to have returned to its home state of Oregon.
The wolf reportedly said that as long as it was having to pay $4 a gallon he might as well go where he didn’t have to pump his own gas.
