Take this with a thousand grains of salt: New findings by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say kids are eating just as much salt as adults, and both are eating about 1,000 milligrams too much each day, raising children’s risks for high blood pressure, particularly among overweight kids.

Here’s a quick test to see if your kid is eating too much salt: Take your child to a petting zoo and see if the animals use him or her as a salt lick.

Bring your own washcloth: About 300 people marked the first anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement with a march from Washington Square Park to Zuccotti Park in New York’s lower Manhattan.
