The Evergreen State: The state Liquor Control Board has issued its draft rules for regulation of the state’s new marijuana industry, including a mandate that pot products carry a label that says “this product is unlawful outside of Washington state.”
But the language might need to be adjusted for its target audience: “Dude, firing up this premium smoke outside of this bodacious state can harsh your buzz.”

Everybody out of the pool: A study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found the presence of fecal matter in 58 percent of public swimming pools that it sampled. The figure was even higher, 73 percent, for pools used mostly by kids.
Kids, please, shower before you go swimming. If your Uncle Buzz wanted to expose himself to that much E. coli, he would go wading in the toilet at home.

Mistakes were made: In Thursday’s column, The Buzz incorrectly identified the commissioner of the NBA, who before announcing that the NBA’s Board of Governors had voted against relocation of the Sacramento Kings to Seattle on Wednesday, said “This is going to be short for me; I have a game to get to in Oklahoma City.”
We should have identified him as the heartless, pinched-face and petty David Stern. The Buzz regrets the error.
