Got a condo made of stone-ah: For what may be the final time, treasures from the tomb of ancient Egypt’s King Tutankhamun will be exhibited in Seattle at the Pacific Science Center. Egyptian officials say it is unlikely the artifacts will be allowed outside Egypt again.

In retaliation, Seattle’s Ye Olde Curiosity Shop announced that it was canceling the Egyptian tour of its resident mummy, Sylvester.

What’s up, Doc? Biologists in Eastern Washington were happily surprised to find that endangered Columbia Basin pygmy rabbits kept in special enclosures have been breeding like the rabbits they are. Eighty baby pygmy rabbits were captured, marked and released.

The breeding program has been so successful, the state will now have to assess the potential harmful effects of that much cuteness concentrated in Eastern Washington.

Go, cougs! No, really, go: A young female cougar seen prowling too close to Arlington neighborhoods was caught and released into the wilds northeast of town. We’ve included a list of advice on what to do if you encounter a cougar (above).

Not included on the list, but it goes without saying: Don’t keep pygmy rabbits in your pockets.
