Much has been said and written by politicos in the past several months about fairness, income equality, and the one percent versus the 99 percent by the Democratic Party, progressives, socialists and other liberals.
They seem to think they know best how to spend everyone else’s money. Let me suggest a real good way for them to get their point across.
For every jurisdiction, at every level of government, for all elected and appointed officials, determine the average total gross compensation (income, retirement, benefits, etc.) for those folks they purport to represent and then determine the average or median compensation of those same folks.
I’m sure they would be eager, even ecstatic, to limit their total gross compensation from public funds to that determined amount.
Oh, this wouldn’t be fair?
