Thanks to the support of our amazing donors, sponsors, volunteers, tree designers and Providence General Foundation staff, the 31st annual Festival of Trees celebration broke all records, raising more than $1 million in support of Children’s Services at Providence Regional Medical Center.
I am humbled by the extraordinary generosity witnessed at our gala dinner, with a generous challenge by Jay and Terry Ackley of K&H Integrated Print Solutions during the evening’s Fund-a-Need for the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Jay and Terry were also presented with the first annual Spirit of Festival Award to recognize significant Festival of Trees supporters. In addition, the Klein, Rodland, Bjorg and Cronin families each generously supported the NICU by contributing the equivalent cost of a new Giraffe Omnibed for the NICU at Providence.
The outstanding donations received at Festival will be used to purchase at least seven new Omnibeds—a microenvironment for babies that emulates the mother’s womb — and other technology to ensure the best possible care for our most fragile newborns.
We’d also like to thank Title Sponsor, Tulalip Tribes; Distinguished Platinum Sponsors, K&H Integrated Print Solutions and Sean & Lisa Kelly; our Platinum Sponsors, Premera Blue Cross and Radia Inc.; and our Media Sponsor, The Daily Herald for your incredible support.
I couldn’t be more proud of, or grateful for, our amazingly generous community. Thank you for supporting the mission and work of Providence. Merry Christmas.
