An article in Jan. 9 Herald mentioned that the adult smoking rate across our country is at or about 15 percent of the adult population. Good news!
Can anyone give me a reason why the casinos would cater to the 15 percent of the population who smoke (allowing unlimited and basically unfiltered smoking in their business) instead of the 85 percent of those of us who don’t?
It’s hard to see that as a sustainable business model. On the bright side, one casino crowed that they are opening a non-smoking room., upstairs, evidently. Someone forgot to tell them that smoke rises. We would enjoy going to the casinos, but the smoke makes it unbearable.
On another note, I would like to thank them for providing the illegal pyrotechnics that are used to traumatize my dogs twice a year. Thanks for that! When we all play and abide by the same laws, maybe there will be more harmony and less resentment!
