“Get me Bob the Builder”: Gov. Jay Inslee announced that two temporary spans could be up and carrying I-5 traffic within as little as three weeks at the collapsed bridge across the Skagit River in Mount Vernon.

Inslee, D-Fix-It Felix, said that while temporary, the replacement spans will be duly christened, each with a bottle of Rainier Beer, sending the remaining portions of the existing bridge into the Skagit.

We’re going to need more Rainier Beer: The Seattle Mariners stopped an eight-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon with a 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers in 13 innings.

If the Mariners’ collapse continues much further into the season, Gov. Inslee promised to bring up temporary replacement players until permanent replacements for the Mariners front office can be installed.
