What am I bid?

What am I bid?

Oh, for art’s sake: A state senator has proposed taking some of the 4,000 publicly owned artworks in the state’s collection, including a sculpture on display at Everett Community College, and selling them at auction. Kent’s Sen. Karen Kaiser, D-Craigslist, said some of the money raised would be used to send low-income students to college.

In return, the students would agree to replace the public artworks with their own posters of Coldplay, Lady Gaga and Bob Marley.

Seminary semantics: GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum, R-Nope, Still Not Safe to Google Me, said Sunday he was questioning President Barack Obama’s “world view” and not his Christianity when a day earlier he said the president’s agenda was based on “some phony theology, not a theology based on the Bible.” .

At that moment, a Webster’s dictionary fell from the sky and landed at Santorum’s feet with the definition for the word “theology” circled in red.

Don’t know much about history: On this day in 1907, President Theodore Roosevelt signed an act barring “idiots, imbeciles, feebleminded persons,” among others from entry in to the United States..

Even so, Roosevelt was too late to prevent them from being voted into Congress.
