Whole in wallet
Greening the food desert: The upscale grocery chain Whole Foods announced plans Wednesday to build a store in the heart of one of Chicago’s most impoverished neighborhoods.
In keeping with the new store’s location, its nickname will be changed from “Whole Paycheck” to “Whole Month’s Wages.”
Dick Tracy would’ve loved it: Samsung on Wednesday rolled out the Galaxy Gear, a smartphone that’s worn on the wrist like a watch.
According to Samsung, the Gear can make phone calls, run apps, display alerts and more. But there’s no word on whether it can take a licking and keep on ticking.
Be sure to visit them all: As many as 334 stores will be licensed to sell legal recreational marijuana in Washington, the state Liquor Control Board says.
The store list is expected to form the basis of a very extensive road trip across the state next year by Tommy Chong.
