The Daily Herald’s Newspapers in Education (NIE) program is committed to creating lifelong learners and readers through local teachers in North Puget Sound. The goals include; promoting youth literacy, encouraging the pursuit of educational excellence, creating active members of the community and producing involved citizens in the democratic process.
