Petroleum leak at Tesoro refinery being cleaned up

ANACORTES -- Cleanup is under way for a leak of about 27,000 gallons of petroleum at the Tesoro refinery in Anacortes.The Washington Department of Ecology says the fuel spilled from an above-ground storage tank into a containment basin Friday morning.

Man ejected from car, struck by trooper, dies

OAK HARBOR -- An Anacortes man was killed Sunday morning on north Whidbey Island after he was ejected from his car and struck by a Washington State Patrol vehicle after a short pursuit.The dead man was identified as Donald R. Johnson, 53.
