2 arrested after stolen truck crashes in Battle Ground

BATTLE GROUND — Police say a truck stolen in Oregon crashed during a high-speed chase Monday night in Battle Ground.The chase began about 9:15 p.m. when an officer saw the truck traveling about 80 mph in a 25 mph zone. It hit a vehicle and speed away.

Portland State student arrested for armor in locker

BATTLE GROUND — The FBI says it has arrested a Portland State University student in his hometown of Battle Ground after school officials found body armor in his locker.The Columbian reported university staff opened the locker after 39-year-old Christopher Rantila didn’t pay rent.
