Woman drives 17 miles wrong way on I-5; no crashes

TUMWATER -- The Washington State Patrol says an impaired motorist drove about 17 miles the wrong way on Interstate 5 at speeds as high as 100 mph before troopers stopped her. Amazingly, while several drivers reported near-misses, there were no collisions.

20-year sentence for fatal stomping of man in Tumwater

TUMWATER -- A 22-year-old transient has been sentenced to 20 years in the fatal beating and stomping of a 60-year-old man attacked in Tumwater.

TUMWATER -- The southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Tumwater reopened about 10:30 a.m. Thursday after being blocked more than five hours by a truck collision.
