VERLOT -- A hiker died Monday after he fell about 12 feet onto rocks outside of Granite Falls.The hiker was with family on a trail off the Mountain Loop Highway when he fell, Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. The incident was reported about 3 p.m.
