All-Stars edge Merchants 3-1

EVERETT — The Everett Merchants lost to the Puget Sound Senior Baseball All-Stars 3-1 in a non-league game Friday night at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The Merchants scored their run in the fifth inning on a run-scoring triple by David Amberson. The All-Stars took an early lead with an RBI single in the first by Nate Binz, then tacked on two more runs in the fifth on RBI singles by Garrett Davis and Emett Nords.
