All-State baseball games this weekend

The Washington All-State Baseball games are this Saturday and Sunday at County Stadium in Yakima.

In the opener Team Adams takes on Team Baker at noon and Team St. Helens battles Team Rainier at 3:15 p.m. The losers of those games play Sunday at 10:25 a.m. and the winners play Sunday at 1:35 p.m.

Archbishop Murphy teammates Levi MaVorhis and Eric Lawson will be on opposite sides for the first time this season as members of Team Adams and Team Baker, respectively. Shorecrest’s Ted Hammond is also on Team Baker.

The Herald’s Player of the Year Anthony Blackie is on Team St. Helens along with Mountlake Terrace teammates Alex Hatch and Austin Johnson. Blackie’s teammates Jake Nelson and Dylan LaVelle are on Team Rainier, which also has Marysville Pilchuck’s Brandon Dormaier on the roster.
