SPOKANE — Everett starter Dan Altavilla allowed only one run over five innings and the AquaSox offense connected for 11 hits in a 7-3 Northwest League win over the Spokane Indians Thursday night.
Altavilla’s only blemish came on a home run by Spokane designated hitter Luke Tendler to lead off the fourth inning. The Indians finished with six hits off Altavilla (3-2), who struck out two and walked four.
Everett catcher Adam Martin gave the AquaSox (19-33) the first lead of the game with a three-run home run over the right-field fence with two outs in the top of the first. Martin finished the night 2-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored.
The Indians added runs in the seventh and ninth innings of Everett relievers Hawtin Buchanan and Cruz Pereira.
AquaSox shortstop Nelson Ward added an insurance run in the eigth inning when his single to right field scored second baseman Jordan Cowan.
Spokane finished the game with more hits than the Aquasox, 13, but left 13 runners on base.
Left fielder Sheehan Planas-Arteaga finished 3-for-4 for Everett.
