Baseball | Lake Stevens

In a showdown for first place with MP, Blackie not only pitched five innings of one-hit ball but delivered a walk-off single in the seventh inning to give the Vikings a 3-2 victory.

Softball | Arlington

The Eagles pitcher threw every pitch of Arlington’s three wins last week and also had a three-run home run and a grand slam as Arlington remained in first place in the Wesco North.

CALEB HOUVENER

Boys soccer | Jackson

The Timberwolves striker had a hat trick in a big Wesco crossover win over Lake Stevens and also scored a goal and had two assists in Jackson’s 8-0 win over Stanwood.

KELLY CORBETT

Girls tennis | Jackson

The Timberwolves No. 1 singles player beat Snohomish’s Meredith Coad in straight sets as Jackson handed the Panthers their first loss of the season.

BEN RICHARDS

Golf | Glacier Peak

The Grizzlies golfer shot a 4-under 68 to take first place at the Larry Dolan Invitational as Glacier Peak finished second.

KATIE BIANCHINI

Track | Glacier Peak

The Grizzlies long distance runner finished first in the 3,200-meter run and was the female track athlete of the Larry Eason Invitational.
