The Bruins pitcher singled in a pair of runs with two outs and also tossed a complete-game shutout in a win over Marysville Pilchuck to help the Bruins improve to 3-0.

Softball | Snohomish

The Panthers hurler threw three complete-game shutouts, including a no-hitter against Marysville Getchell, to lead Snohomish to a 3-0 start.

Girls tennis | Stanwood

With usual No. 1 singles player Megan LaLone playing doubles, Smith came from behind to beat Arlington’s Kelsey Ghirardo 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the Spartans’ 6-1 win over the Eagles.

Boys Soccer | Marysville Getchell

The Chargers senior forward scored a pair of goals in MG’s wins over Everett and Mountlake Terrace this week.

SKYLAR CANNON

Track and field | Lakewood

The Cougars senior threw the javelin 115 feet, 9 inches, less than 2 feet off of her state best from a year ago, to win the girls competition at the Island Jamboree last week.
