PULLMAN — Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 19 points, pulled down nine rebounds and had five steals Friday night as California beat Washington State 62-44 for the second time this season.
Freshman DeNesha Stallworth scored 14 points and Talia Caldwell 12 as the Bears (13-10, 7-5 Pac-10) extended their winning streak over the Cougars (6-17, 1-11) to 11 games.
After trailing 44-25 midway through the second half, Washington State went on a spurt that cut the lead to 10. But that was as close as they came as the Cougars could not stop Gray-Lawson and lost the battle on the boards 49-39.
Cal outscored Washington State 32-19 in the first half, converting 16 points off 14 turnovers. Washington State ended the game with 24 turnovers.

The Cougars struggled from the free throw line, hitting only 5 of 10.
