EVERETT — Cedarcrest junior Aaron Kussman posted a shutout in goal to lead the Red Wolves to a 2-0 upset victory over Cascade Conference-leading Archbishop Murphy on Friday.

“They definitely out-shot us tonight and (Kussman) made a lot of nice saves,” Cedarcrest head coach Zach Pittis said. “He did real well for us tonight.”

In the second half, junior Kyle Walsh gave the Red Wolves some insurance, scoring from 8 yards out off of a pass from Bryan Bodnar. The Red Wolves took a 1-0 lead in the first half off of an Archbishop Murphy own goal.

Despite the loss, the Wildcats still hold a five point advantage on Cedarcrest in the Cascade Conferece standings.
