Clarks remain unbeaten at world curling event

ERZURUM, Turkey — Team USA’s Brady Clark and Cristin Clark of Lynnwood won two matches and to improve their record to 3-0 at the 2012 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship on Wednesday.

The Clarks of Team USA defeated Germany’s Manual Walter and Ann Kathrin Bastian 7-4 and defeated Japan’s Kenji Tomabechi and Michiko Tomabechi 9-5.

The two wins helpeds the Americans keep pace with the Swiss team, which is also undefeated with a 4-0 record in the Blue Group.

Twenty-seven teams are competing in the six-day world championship. Team USA plays England (2-2) and Estonia (2-1) today.
