Everett Community College women’s basketball standout Lily Hilderbrand has signed to play next season at Montana State University-Northern.
MSU-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat announced the signing Monday.
Hilderbrand, a 5-foot-10 forward, averaged 12.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game before having her 2016-2017 season cut short by an injury. She appeared in 21 of the Trojans’ 27 games, and shot 64 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free-throw line.
“We feel fortunate to have Lily coming to MSU-Northern,” Mouat said in a press release. “She has a really good nose for the basketball, and she plays much bigger than she is. Her game is really efficient and she shot an incredible percentage from the field this year. She knows how to work hard, is a team-first player, and I think she’ll be a great fit in our program. ”
Hilderbrand’s biggest game this past season was a 44-point, 18-rebound performance against Blue Mountain on Dec. 18. In that contest, she shot 17-for-18 from the field, 10-for-11 from the free-throw line and collected 18 rebounds.
Hilderbrand is a graduate of Oroville High School.
MSU-Northern posted a 24-9 record this past season and made its fourth consecutive appearance in the NAIA Division I national tournament.
