Everett vs. Kamloops lineup notes

EVERETT

Forward lines:

Winquist-Hayer-Sandhu

Leedahl-Bauml-Aasman

Low-Nikolishin-Stadnyk

MacDonald-Fonteyne-Juulsen

Defensive pairings:

Betker-Davis

Zipp-Mueller

Pufahl-Adam

Starting goaltender:

Lotz

Scratches: Khaira, Bajkov.

Notes: The Tips shuffle up the lines almost completely tonight with forwards Jujhar Khaira (upper body) and Patrick Bajkov (undisclosed) out. Bajkov took a big hit toward the end of Friday night’s game in Spokane, so that may be why he isn’t playing. By the way I’m told Bajkov’s goal from last night is going to be changed, so he’ll have to wait a little longer for his first career tally (and a belated congratulations to Matt Fonteyne for his first career goal). With two forwards out, Everett dresses eight defensemen, with Cole MacDonald and Noah Juulsen drawing the forward assignments.

KAMLOOPS

Forward lines:

Bozon-Ully-Souto

Sterzer-Needham-Ness

Macklin-Kornelsen/Lipon-Friesen

Krienke-Shynkaruk-Looysen

Defensive pairings:

Grist-Cross

Harlacher-Connolly

Rehill-Clouston

Starting goaltender:

Kozun

Scratches: Thomson, Chyzowski, Kornelsen/Lipon.

Notes: Kamloops overage center Joe Kornelsen will be a game time decision. Kornelsen returned to the lineup Friday after sitting out a game with an upper-body injury, but just one of he and Mitch Lipon will play. The Blazers also play without key defenseman Jordan Thomson for undisclosed reasons. The Blazers’ visit marks the return of former Tips coach Mark Ferner to Everett. Ferner is now Kamloops’ associate coach.
