Everett vs. Seattle lineup notes, plus the new guy

Forward lines:

Defensive pairings:

Starting goaltender:

Scratches: Khaira, Leedahl, Lotz, Zipp/DeRoose.

Notes: Everett is without winger Dawson Leedahl. Leedahl was handed a league suspension for his checking-from-behind major penalty taken Friday against Brandon. The length of the suspension is yet to be determined. Defenseman Cole MacDonald continues as a forward. Center Jujhar Khaira (upper body) and goaltender Austin Lotz (ankle) are out injured.

Everett also has a new player on its roster as Darcy DeRoose has joined the team from the SJHL’s Estevan Bruins. DeRoose is an 18-year-old winger from Ceylon, Saskatchewan, who’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds. He had eight goals, four assists and 27 penalty minutes in 14 games with the Bruins. He has WHL experience in the form of three games with the Moose Jaw Warriors spread over the previous two seasons. His addition gives the Tips a spare forward as they’re now up to 13. DeRoose will take the warm-up tonight, with either he or defenseman Micheal Zipp slotting onto the fourth line.

Scratches: Honey, Wardley, Lipsbergs, Holub, Wolf/Douglas.

Notes: Seattle plays without leading goal scorer Roberts Lipsbergs for the first time this season because of an upper-body injury. He joins winger Connor Honey (upper body) and defenseman Evan Wardley (suspended) in the stands. Wardley received a TBD suspension from the league for his charging major Friday against Portland. This is the first time the Tips will get a look at Seattle’s recent forward additions Jaimen Yakubowski, Sam Mckechnie and Ryan Gropp.
