Stealth evicted

The Mayor of Everett, Ray Stephanson, will officially rename Hewitt Avenue Sesame Street today in recognition of Elmo and his pals setting up shop at Comcast Arena over the weekend.

Consider the Washington Stealth lacrosse team not tickled by the move.

The cuddly red creature and his friends evicted the Stealth from their home arena, forcing the team to move its conference semifinal playoff game against the Edmonton Rush to KeyArena in Seattle.

Washington, which went 7-2 at Comcast Arena this year, can only hope it’s home success translates to the bigger arena to the south.

All season long the Stealth beat up on Roughnecks, Mammoths and Knighthawks.

But when it came to Big Bird, the Stealth never had a chance.
