How does one Seahawk describe WR Percy Harvin: "Fast as…"

One of the big storylines this week is the possible return of Percy Harvin, who resumed practicing last week after a long layoff.

Since nobody has seen much of Harvin, and since he won’t talk to the media until Thursday, it’s up to his teammates to share their views on him so far.

And nobody gave a better description than fellow receiver Golden Tate

“Fast as beeeep,” Tate said. And yes, he really said, beep. “A tremendous talent. He’s one of the few guys I look at who just has everything—he’s fast, he’s also quick, he’s also explosive. When he sticks his foot in the ground and decides he wants to run, I don’t think there’s a single person in this league who can flip their hips before he gets by you. I’m excited to see him play. He’s definitely been anxiously waiting, trying to get healthy. We saw a glimpse when he wasn’t even healthy against Minnesota… I’m excited, he’s definitely going to open it up for all of us.”

Asked if he thought Harvin would indeed play, Tate said, “Yeah, based off how he’s looking in practice, I think he has a really good chance of playing, but at the end of the day that’s a decision that Percy and Coach Carroll and the trainers are going to have to make.”

On the other side of the ball, cornerback Richard Sherman offered this description of what it’s like to cover Harvin, “It’s fast. He’s an explosive player, he’s a very quick-twitch guy, and you have to be on everything.”

“He creates so many different challenges, he’s quick, he’s fast, he’s dynamic. If he gets a step on you, there’s no coming back from that.”
