TUCSON, Ariz. — Kristi Kingma scored 22 points and Washington’s starters all scored in double figures as the Huskies defeated Arizona 74-65 Friday night in Pac-12 women’s basketball action.
The victory ran the Huskies’ win streak to five games.
Kingma, a senior guard and former Jackson High School standout, made five 3-point field goals as she topped 20 points for the third consecutive game. She is averaging 23.7 points over that span.
In Friday’s win, the five starters accounted for all but four points for Washington (15-5, 7-2 Pac-12). Point guard Jazmine Davis returned after being sidelined with a concussion and scored 13 points. Aminah Williams also had 13 points.
Talia Walton added 12 points and had a team-high eight rebounds for the Huskies and Mercedes Wetmore scored 10 points.
Davellyn Whyte led the Wildcats (11-9, 3-6) with 20 points. Kama Griffitts scored 15 points for Arizona, which has lost four in a row.
Arizona held a 46-33 edge on the boards, led by Alli Gloyd who had nine rebounds.
