Mariner gets past district rival, 49-41

EVERETT — The two Mukilteo School District rivals squared off Tuesday at Mariner High School in a key Wesco South game for both teams.

Mariner came in tied for the top spot in the division standings. Kamiak came in tied for fifth place and the fourth and final 4A district playoff berth.

Joey Dillon, who garnered seven rebounds, scored both of his 3-points goals in the third quarter to held the Marauders build a seven-point lead going into the final period.

Mariner’s lead grew to 12 points with two minutes to play before Kamiak closed the gap.
