A day after sending catcher Jesus Montero to Tacoma, the Mariners made another move Friday as they continue to shake things up following a six-game losing streak.

Taking Andino’s place is infielder Carlos Triunfel, who was hitting .300 with 14 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs and 19 RBI in Tacoma. Triunfel started has started 34 games at shortstop this year, nine at second base and one at third.
Triunfel, 23, made his Major League debut last year, appearing in 10 games with the Mariners, batting .227 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBI.
The Mariners also made official a move that was reported yesterday, calling up catcher Jesus Sucre to replace Montero. Sucre, 25, was hitting .302 in Tacoma.
