SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Seattle Mariners beat the Texas Rangers 9-7 on Friday in a spring training game at Surprise Stadium.
Daniel Vogelbach went 2-for-4 with a double and home run, while Mike Zunino and Jean Segura each had three hits for the Mariners.
Down 6-5, Seattle scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a lead that it didn’t relinquish.
Mariners pitcher Mike Leake gave up six runs in four innings.
