NBA’s Mavericks sign ex-Husky Dentmon

DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks have signed guard Justin Dentmon to a 10-day contract off their NBA Development League team.

Dentmon averaged 26 points and 3.4 assists in 22 games for the Texas Legends. He was the MVP of the D-League last season with the Austin Toros, starting all 40 games and averaging 22.8 points and 3.7 assists. He was traded the Texas Legends in January.

The 27-year-old Dentmon played six games combined with San Antonio and Toronto last season and averaged 4.3 points. He was a four-year starter at the University of Washington before going undrafted in 2009.
