Boy, am I happy to not be crammed in my car anymore.
I got back to Everett late last night after a 3,000-plus mile California road trip with my wife, daughter, mother-in-law and father-in-law. We had a great time but it’s sure a relief to be home.
I’m catching up on what happened in the local high school sports scene while I was on vacation. Did you hear about last night’s big Edmonds-Woodway versus Lake Stevens girls basketball game? Despite missing loads of free throws and layups, Edmonds-Woodway beat the Vikings 72-62.
According to the Tacoma News Tribune, Edmonds-Woodway is ranked No. 8 in the latest Class 4A state girls hoop rankings. Click here to see the complete 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A girls rankings. Besides E-W, Lynnwood (3A No. 9), Archbishop Murphy (2A No. 9) and King’s (1A No. 10) are also ranked.
In the new TNT boys basketball rankings, Jackson is 4A No. 5. Several other local boys teams are on the watch list but none are ranked.
