A cyclist will find a number of different road surfaces in Sweden. I rode on well-paved roads and dirt roads (filled with potholes), as well as gravel and rock roads (some of which I had to walk the bike because the surface was too treacherous to ride).
Swedish drivers, like Danish drivers, are courteous and respect the rights of cyclists.
Marked cycle routes are common. But it is not uncommon for the signs marking the route to end — make sure you have good maps.
