EVERETT — An Archbishop Murphy lay-up attempt wouldn’t fall with 2.3 seconds remaining in the game as fourth-ranked Lynden escaped with an opening-round 2A District 1/2 Tournament win. Chase White scored 11 points and Abe Lucas and Josh Parafina each had 10 for the Wildcats. Archbishop Murphy will host Cascade Conference-rival Cedarcrest in a loser-out game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
