EVERETT — Kaleb Dobson caught a 62-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter and Cascade came from behind to beat Mount Vernon Friday night at Everett Memorial.

The win was Cascade’s fourth of the season after going the past two season winless.

Dobson’s late touchdown was the third of the game for the junior wide receiver. Dobson also had a 10- and 91-yard touchdown that helped Cascade overcome an early 13-0 hole and take a 14-13 halftime lead.

Mount Vernon’s Tristan Brock scored on a pair of 1-yard runs in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs grab the lead back. But Cascade chipped away and Ryan Lukas hit KJ Brady on a 25-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter to set up Dobson’s late-game heroics.

“There was give-up time in that game,” said Cascade head coach Joe Cronin. “Down 13-nothing then you battle back. Down 26-14 then you battle back. … We talked about four full quarters and they did it.”

There was give-up time in that game. Down 13-nothing then you battle back. Down 26-14 then you battle back. I was worried about a Kamiak hangover. We turn it over and they get it and thought ‘Is this going to happen.’ We talked about four full quarters and they did it. This was the seniors last game playing on this field.
