KIRKLAND — Monroe survived a last-second runner from the elbow to edge Ballard at the 2012 Rebel Challenge. Jordyn Turner scored 10 points, including six in the fourth quarter for the Bearcats.

“She was really aggressive and attacked the basket in the fourth, she was clutch,” said Monroe head coach Matt Chalfant.

Deidra Miller added nine points and hit a free throw with five seconds left to provide the final margin of victory.
