Prep girls basketball: Mountlake Terrace 59, Everett 54 (OT)

EVERETT — Samantha Romanowski and Taylor Smith led Mountlake Terrace to an overtime victory. Romanowski (21 points) and Smith (19) produced the lion’s share of the Hawks offense. Mountlake Terrace got off to a slow start, with Everett out-scoring them 10-0 in the first quarter. The Hawks made up ground throughout the game, however, and scored 20 in the fourth quarter to tie the game. They scored seven more in overtime for a Wesco 3A crossover win. Kiki Harper had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds for Everett in the loss.
