OAK HARBOR — Oak Harbor, tied with Arlington for fourth place in the Wesco North heading into Wednesday night’s game, used a big run in the middle of the contest to vault to a 67-53 win at Oak Harbor High School.

Arlington won the first game between the two this season, and that inspired Oak Harbor.

“We knew that this was a big game and a game we had to have,” Oak Harbor head coach Brett McLeod said. “The girls came out with a lot of energy.”

The Wildcats ammassed an 18-point lead with big second- and third-quarter efforts. Jessica Denmon scored a game-high 31 points for the Wildcats and Nicole Mowbray chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
