Prep girls soccer: King’s 3, Lynden Christian 0

SHORELINE — Takara Mitsui had her third shutout of the District 1 tournament for King’s, as the Knights defeated Lynden Christian in the championship game. King’s did not allow a goal throughout the three-round tournament, beating Friday Harbor (9-0) and Meridian (2-0) before dispatching the Lyncs to take the top spot.

Anna Parker scored first, taking a pass from Devon Fleming and beating the keeper one-on-one in the 22nd minute. Mackenzie Graham took a cross from Beth Stella ten minutes later and put it into the side of the net to make the lead 2-0. Stella had an insurance goal mid way through the second half off a pass from Maddy Morgan.

King’s plays against University Prep in the Tri-District tournament next Thursday at Woolsey Stadium.
