SNOHOMISH — Two of the top Wesco 3A girls soccer teams, Shorecrest and Glacier Peak, took to the pitch Monday night and it was the Scots who came out with a 1-0 victory in its final game of the Wesco 3A season.
The score came in the 24th-minute by Bri Lasconia, assisted on a corner kick from Nicole Harris.
“We were pressing forward at that point, and were rewarded with a corner kick,” said Shorecrest coach Mindy Dalziel. “Nicole sent it in to the far post, and then Bri headed it in.”
The score was the eighth of the season for Lasconia, a senior leader and forward for the Scots.
Frida Swenson shut out Glacier Peak as the keeper for Shorecrest (12-3-1 league, 12-3-1 overall).
Glacier Peak (10-5-0, 10-5-0 ) finishes the regular season against Shorewood Wednesday.
