MOUNT VERNON — Taylor Carpenter hit a two-out, two-run walk-off double to earn Mount Vernon its first league win of the season in a Wesco 4A crossover game. The Bearcats came back from an 8-3 deficit, scoring four in the bottom of the sixth to give Carpenter the opportunity to win it. A Kylie Romero two-run homerun in the bottom half of the first inning kept the game in reach after Edmonds-Woodway took a 3-0 lead to start the game.
