Prep volleyball: Everett 3, Shorewood 0

LYNNWOOD — Everett’s Amber Hagar put away 10 kills and Tenika Wentworth had 25 assists to help the Seagulls down Shorewood in a first-round match of the 3A District 1 Tournament. Delaney Hopen led the Thunderbirds with 12 kills and 10 digs. Everett advances to play Oak Harbor for a state berth, while Shorewood faces a loser-out contest against Meadowdale. Both matches will take place at Meadowdale H.S. on Thursday.
