DEMING — The Darrington volleyball team held its own against the larger schools at the Mount Baker Invite on Saturday.
The Class 2B Loggers finished second, losing to Mount Si, the third-ranked team in 3A, 25-14, 25-20 in the final.
Amy Miles had 38 kills and 16 blocks, Monica Frank recorded 30 kills and 10 aces and Riley Anderson distrbuted 136 assists over the course of the tourney, which saw Darrington sweep its first three matches and beat 4A Battle Ground to reach the final of the 12-team tourney.
Sultan faced Lakewood in pool play with the Turks winning in three sets. Sultan then lost to Battle Ground to finish tied for fifth, while Lakewood beat Kingston and Riverside Christian to win the Silver Bracket and seventh place.
