Prep volleyball: Mount Vernon, E-W advance to semis

EDMONDS — Karly Jones led the way with 19 kills as Mount Vernon defeated Jackson in four sets in a 4A District 1 Tournament opening round match held at Edmonds-Woodway H.S. In the second match held at Edmonds-Woodway, Lea Bakken had 7 kills and one block kill as the Warriors swept Lynnwood in their first round match. Edmonds-Woodway hosts Mount Vernon in the second round, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
