ARLINGTON — Snohomish ripped off six straight wins, including four pins, to start the match with Arlington and the Panthers cruised to a Wesco 4A North win.
“Snohomish is very tough,” said Arlington assistant coach Barry Knott. “We’re hoping to win four or five matches and we won two. We had two returning state wrestlers at 145 and 152 (Connor Gonzales and Scotty Bardell) and both Proffit boys got them.”
Joseph Proffit earned a 4-2 overtime victory over Gonzales at 145 pounds, while Jacob Proffit beat Bardell 5-2 at 152.
Jeremy Nygard (106) and Riley Oakes (120) won two decision victories for the Eagles.
