Rasmussen’s clutch free throws lift EvCC women to victory

VICTORIA, B.C — Kelsy Rasmussen made two free throws with 1 second remaining to lift the Everett Community College women’s basketball team to a 58-57 win over Langara College on Monday at the Camosun College Christmas Tournament.

Rasmussen, a freshman guard from Archbishop Murphy High School, led the Trojans with 21 points. Sophomore forward Ashley Albertson (Edmonds-Woodway) added 13 points and seven rebounds.

Everett won two of three games at the tournament to improve its season record to 3-10.
