The WHL trade deadline is Friday at 11 a.m. PST. That’s a big gameday around the league, which makes things awkward (the WHL always has the deadline on Jan. 10, regardless of day of the week, which is a curious decision).
Anyway, Everett is 23-12-5-1 for 52 points, tied for fourth in the Western Conference with Spokane. The Tips are 16 points behind first-place Kelowna, and 15 points ahead of ninth-place Prince George (which would be the first team out of the playoffs at this juncture). Everett is also just three points out of seventh place, with the team having issued a guarantee to season ticket holders of finishing no worse than sixth this season.
Everett has struggled of late, losing eight of its past 10. However, that’s been while key players were missing, and just about all of those losses were by one goal.
So with the trade deadline quickly approaching, what do you think the Tips should do?
