The WHL’s trade deadline arrives Saturday, so ‘tis the season for big deals and rampant speculation.
The fireworks have gotten started early this season. Several of the top targets have already moved (Josh Morrissey from Prince Albert to Kelowna, Morgan Klimchuk from Regina to Brandon, Dryden Hunt and Kyle Burroughs from Regina to Medicine Hat). Other moves apparently are just waiting to be announced (Leon Draisaitl from Prince Albert to Kelowna).
The Silvertips currently sit in first place in the. U.S. Division. However, their hold on first is tenuous as division rivals have closed the gap, and when title contenders are listed Everett generally isn’t listed alongside Kelowna, Brandon and Medicine Hat.
